Through her role as a dynamic Event Facilitator for Epiphany Blue, CharDia incorporates her expertise in providing personal and professional development training for youth and adults.

This proud Howard University graduate brings over nine years of experience to her role as an Event Facilitator at Epiphany Blue. Rebekah’s wealth of knowledge in event planning and management, along with her interpersonal skills, spirited personality, and “let’s do it” attitude, make her an integral part of Epiphany Blue’s team.

Since graduating from Northwestern University and then receiving her Master’s in Business at Durham University, Ali has spent over a decade working in different sectors in both management and operations roles. She has extensive experience working within teams to achieve organizational objectives and managing key relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders. She is excited to leverage her experience to add to the Epiphany Blue team!

Program Facilitator
Samirah is an educator, advocate, program facilitator and workshop coordinator passionate about uplifting youth and helping them realize their strength. Through seven years of experience working with youth in different capacities, she continues that work in the role of Program Facilitator.

Did you know?:
I grew up religouslly Muslim and went to muslim schools for a big part of my educational life, and was taught Arabic at school as a kid. While I’m not religiously Muslim anymore, I can still read, write, speak, and understand some Arabic, but I’m not as fluent as I used to be.
College attended:
I’m currently attending Queens College, and our mascot is a Knight!
Long Island University’s GEAR UP program hired Epiphany Blue to assist with providing an engaging event for their participants, with a focus on college awareness. Epiphany Blue created, planned, and executed the College Awareness Day, a pep rally-style event that was designed to engage and entertain the students college-themed activities while increasing and awareness and desire to graduate and pursue post-secondary education.
Epiphany Blue developed the event agenda and content, secured presenters and vendors, created the run of show, and executed all logistical elements of the event, from concept to execution.








For ten years, Epiphany Blue has worked with the NYC Department of Education’s Students in Temporary Housing division to plan and execute their annual Attendance & Academic Awards Empowerment Brunch. The brunch honors students who have excelled academically during the school year, in the midst of adversity.
Our services included developing the run of show, planning and managing event logistics, developing and facilitating activities, securing guest speakers, creating and overseeing the check-in process, and managing the event and run of show.









For three years, Epiphany Blue was retained by the NYC Department of Education to plan and execute the graduation ceremonies for the NYC Urban Ambassadors, a city-wide leadership development program for young men of color.
For each event, Epiphany Blue worked with the client to develop the run of show, identify and liaise with the venues and vendors, and manage all aspects of event management and execution.






Program Facilitator
Leslie Mejia (She/They) is a NYC-native of Dominican descent. She identifies as a Gatherer of community, Wellness educator and Youth advocate. Leslie holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s in social work from the University at Albany, State University of New York. Her passion for youth development and success originated from her work with Liberty Partnerships Program where she was able to serve as a resource and advocate for young people of the New York Capital Region. She has over 5 years of experience in College access and success; where she takes great pride in advising students as they unlock their highest potential while navigating their college process and journey.

I wanted to be a Librarian! I was obsessed with going to the library or bookstores, sitting in between the aisles, and reading new books.

My identity as a gatherer and being able to organically bring people together in community. Holding space for folks is so important to me and the work that I do.

Having the opportunity to witness the growth and development of young people and engaging in dialogue where they are able to explore, celebrate, and affirm their identities.

I built a recording booth in middle school for music production.

I would love to have healing hands so I am able to just touch an injury and then ‘poof’ it’s gone!

Spending the day hopping around my favorite Thrift shops for clothes and books!
Epiphany Blue conceptualized, planned, and executed the 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 Future NOW! culminating youth celebrations for The New York City Department of Education and 21st Century Community Learning Centers. Hundreds of students from afterschool programs throughout New York City participated in the celebrations and showcased their talents.
Each year, Epiphany Blue was responsible for handling all aspects of the event. Our team of Event Specialists developed the concept and theme, produced the run of show, liaised with event talent and vendors, and managed all aspects of event management and execution. The team also spearheaded the outreach, solicitation, selection and confirmation of the student organizations who performed at the event.
In light of the impact of COVID-19, Epiphany Blue worked diligently to successfully transition this annual in-person event to an engaging and exciting virtual experience for the students.











During school year 2019-2020, Epiphany Blue partnered with NYC Department of Education’s Brooklyn North High Schools District to plan, implement, and execute two monthly gathering events for young men of color as part of their My Brother’s Keeper Programs. Our services included being co-design thought partners to develop the theme and program content, creating and outlining the agenda and run of show, planning and managing event logistics, developing the lesson and activity plans for the gathering workshops, creating and overseeing the check-in process, facilitating the delivery of the workshops, and managing the event and run of show to ensure seamless execution.
Upon the impact of COVID-19, Epiphany Blue transformed the monthly in-person gatherings into weekly virtual event experiences for the students. These events included workshops with guest speakers from various career industries, Artist Lounge events for the students to showcase their talent, and mentoring sessions that focused on helping students cope and thrive through the pandemic.

Epiphany Blue provided full-service event planning, from concept to execution, and served as a co-design partner. Our team worked with our client to create an event that was not only educational, but also very engaging and entertaining for the attendees. Using our personal development expertise, Epiphany Blue incorporated themes of wellness and self-care throughout the event with activities including chair massages, yoga, and a wellness relaxation room.




For the 2019-2020 school year, Epiphany Blue was retained by the NYC Department of Education’s Students in Temporary Housing division to plan and execute six professional development convenings and one inaugural conference. The Inaugural Students in Temporary Housing #STHACHIEVE Conference was held on February 12, 2020 at Hostos Community College.
Epiphany Blue’s Pop-Up Wellness Room is a unique on-site retreat. We “pop-up” to schools or offices and providing staff with wellness and self-care activities that will allow them to “press reset” on their day.
After talking with the school’s Assistant Principal, we learned that the staff of P.S. 198 were tired and overwhelmed. Epiphany Blue planned and executed a ½ day Pop-Up Wellness Room that featured chair massages and wellness activities including making bath salts and stress balls, gratitude walls, venting stations, stretching, and meditation. Participants left the wellness room feeling energized, relaxed and very appreciative.




Epiphany Blue was retained by the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development to produce a professional development event for the participants of their young adult internship program. Epiphany Blue created the Success Summit, an event designed to equip young adults with professional etiquette skills required to succeed in their careers. The event focused on personal image and branding, grooming and hygiene, resume development, presentation skills, dining etiquette, and networking. We also coordinated for each attendee to receive professional headshots.

Parent Engagement Specialist
While attending LaGuardia College, Andy was provided an opportunity to work for EL Puente Community Center. It was during this time that she was introduced to the concept of giving back to the communities in need. From then on, her love for helping and contributing to communities had blossomed. Andy is deeply committed to maintaining and forming strong relationships between parents, guardians, their children, and their school to support the learning of each student.

In 2006, she fostered her entrepreneurial spirit and launched Epiphany Blue. By doing so, Tamekia turned her passions into a fruitful career, and she has been committed to inspiring others to do the same.
